Brooklyn overcame a superlative game from Cal Eldred to beat Savannah, 4-3. The Savannah pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball. The Cyclones, at 57-51, have now won 5 straight.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Brooklyn trailing 3-2, Dwight Smith hit a fastball from Dustin Hermanson to left-center for a 2-run double. Just like that, the Cyclones had a walk-off win.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Smith said.
