Clippers Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Danville
|
Spirited fans at Kernels Ballpark greeted the Danville Dairy Daddies for their clash with the Columbus Clippers.
Columbus designated hitter Chris Pritchett was a significant contributor in his team's 6-3 triumph over the Danville Dairy Daddies. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs for Columbus. The win was Marc Wilkins's in relief. His record improves to 3-0. A J Sager took the loss for Danville.
Columbus needed the clutch hitting of Carlos Garcia to notch the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Clippers on top, 5-3. For the game, Garcia had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Garcia said after the game.
Columbus, now 53-58, holds 4th place in the Atlantic Northeast.
