The first-place Hartford Whalers welcomed Milwaukee to Wolves Ballpark.

Hartford Whalers starter Jimmy Haynes pitched a strong game against the Milwaukee Otters at Wolves Ballpark, leading the Whalers to a 12-4 win. In 7 innings, Haynes surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs.
