Red Wings Come Back Late to Top Beasties
The Rochester Red Wings defeated the Bluff City Beasties, 13-6, at Ravens Ballpark. Tim Unroe was named player of the game for Rochester. His 3 hits included 2 singles and 1 double, in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 3 he knocked in. Rochester reliever Brad Pennington picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Pat Combs absorbed the loss. With the victory, the Red Wings record now stands at 51-60.

There were several reasons the Red Wings beat the Beasties, but one factor was Tom Lampkin. In the top of the eighth, the Rochester catcher came to bat and hit a 2-run single. It staked his team to a 8-6 lead.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Lampkin told the Rochester Daily News.
