Victory Over Swamp Foxes Takes Danville to 73-40
|
Paradise Grounds was the site of a competitive game between the Savannah Swamp Foxes and Danville Dairy Daddies.
Danville starter Jose DeLeon had a strong outing against the Savannah Swamp Foxes at Paradise Grounds. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. DeLeon went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 10. His record improves to 7-2.
The Dairy Daddies got a lift from third baseman Floyd Rayford, who in the top of the sixth stroked a first pitch fastball into left for a run-scoring double. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Dairy Daddies ahead, 3-2.
"I had pretty good command out there," said DeLeon.
The Dairy Daddies have an impressive 73-40 record.
