Blue Crabs Jolt Suns with Late Rally
|
Ocean City Blue Crabs starter Darrell May was in fine form against the Jacksonville Suns at Fire Dogs Ballpark, leading his team to a 5-4 win. The winner was Julio Valera in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Paul Quantrill took the loss. The last-place Blue Crabs lifted their record to 53-59.
The Blue Crabs used some clutch hitting to beat the Suns, a good example being the at-bat of Curtis Pride in the bottom of the eighth. With two down, Pride gave his team the lead, 5-4, when he hit a run-scoring triple.
"Everything felt in sync," said May.
