Cummings Bashes 5 Base Hits
|
Midre Cummings really sizzled at the plate in today's 5-2 win over Clippers. The Danville left fielder blistered Columbus for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.
"Cummings was too tough to get out today," the Clippers skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
Midre Cummings singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
