|
Swamp Foxes catcher Izzy Molina put his stamp on his team's 5-3 win over the Hartford Whalers. Molina was 2 for 3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Savannah in the contest. The Swamp Foxes bumped their record to 65-50 with this latest triumph.
Molina came through with some timely hitting for Savannah. With the score 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth and two down, Molina hit a 0-1 fastball for a 2-run home run. His 10th home run of the season made it 5-2, Savannah.
In postgame comments to the Savannah Daily News, Molina said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
