Koslofski Delivers Walk-Off Win for Red Wings
|
The Rochester Red Wings relied on the hitting of first baseman Tim Unroe to stop the Danville Dairy Daddies, 6-5. For the game, Unroe was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times. The last-place Dairy Daddies have lost 4 consecutive games.
The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Kevin Koslofski came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Danville pitcher Felix Rodriguez, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Rochester on top, 6-5.
"It was a test of wills," said , the Rochester skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
