Dairy Daddies Lose to Red Wings in Walk Off
|
The Rochester Red Wings scored a 8-7 win versus the Danville Dairy Daddies at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale. Rochester catcher Tom Lampkin nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The win was Brad Pennington's in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Doug Bochtler took the loss for Danville. With the win over Danville, the Red Wings improved to 53-63.
The Dairy Daddies had been locked in a 7-7 tie with the Red Wings going into the bottom of the ninth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old center fielder Terrell Lowery came to the plate. Lowery hit a run-scoring single on a 1-0 slider from Danville hurler Doug Bochtler. It was Lowery's 161st hit of the year.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Danville manager . "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
