Bisons Come Up Short at Brooklyn
|
The Brooklyn Cyclones defeated the Buffalo Bisons, 9-8, at Ballpark of Fremont. Mike Marshall was named player of the game for Brooklyn. His 3 hits included 1 single and 2 doubles, in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 2 he knocked in. The Cyclones bumped their record to 64-55 with this latest triumph.
Brooklyn took control in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Phil Nevin hit a run-scoring single to make it 9-8, Cyclones.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Marshall.
