Echevarria Lifts Suns to 11-6 Win
The Jacksonville Suns bested the Danville Dairy Daddies, 11-6, at Kernels Ballpark. Angel Echevarria was named player of the game. He was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. Ricky Bones got credit for the win, improving to 13-8. He allowed 6 runs on 7 hits in 8.2 innings. The Suns bumped their record to 65-53 with this latest triumph.

One significant at-bat for Jacksonville came with runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the fifth. Suns left fielder Rich Butler hit a 3-run home run, which helped Jacksonville go on to win.
