Mud Hens Prevail, 5-3, Over Columbus

Toledo and Columbus duked it out at Mules Ballpark and the Mud Hens came out victorious.
The Toledo Mud Hens defeated the Columbus Clippers, 5-3, at Mules Ballpark. Toledo third baseman Tom Marsh was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Toledo reliever Enrique Burgos picked up the win, upping his record to 4-4. Jim Converse absorbed the loss. Mike James, credited with the save, is now 22 for 29 in save opportunities.
The Mud Hens took a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Facing Columbus hurler Jim Converse with two outs, Marsh hit a 2-run home run.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Marsh.
Even with the win, the Mud Hens have a dismal 33-84 record.
