The Columbus Clippers got a stellar effort from pitcher Armando Reynoso, helping Columbus score a 3-2 win over the visiting Toledo Mud Hens. Doug Simons was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 26 of 28 save opportunities. The Clippers now have a record of 55-64.

Having an impact for Columbus was Shawn Hare. In the bottom of the sixth inning, the 28-year old left fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly to make the score 3-2, Clippers.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Toledo manager . "But we decided not to take it."
