Danville and Ocean City duked it out at Kernels Ballpark and the Dairy Daddies came out victorious.
The Dairy Daddies had to overcome a good performance from Ocean City pitcher Darrell May to claim a 5-2 win at Kernels Ballpark. May went 5 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. The 5th-place Dairy Daddies improved to 59-58.
Joe Carter helped out the Danville cause in the bottom of the first inning with a 3-run home run. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
Carter attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
