Blue Crabs Come Back Late to Clip Moonshiners
The Blue Crabs grabbed a win, 3-2, at Torrance Grounds, overcoming a fine effort from Asheville pitcher Willie Banks. Banks went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Ocean City reliever Carlos Valdez was credited with the win, to go to 5-1. Mike Draper took the loss for Asheville. At 49-68, the Blue Crabs are currently last in the Atlantic Southeast.

One of the biggest contributors for Ocean City was shortstop Manny Alexander. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 1st, Alexander got a full count curveball and hit a 2-run home run. That put the Blue Crabs on top, 3-2.

"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Asheville manager . "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
