Blue Crabs Lose, 8-5, at Torrance Grounds

It was a fun time at Torrance Grounds, where the Ocean City Blue Crabs and Asheville Moonshiners tangled.
The Asheville Moonshiners knocked off the Ocean City Blue Crabs, 8-5, at Torrance Grounds. Roberto Petagine, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Asheville won. The designated hitter was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Steve Karsay picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-0. He struck out 5 in 6 innings.
Tomas Perez contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he hit a sacrifice fly. It was one at-bat that helped Asheville get the win.
"We maximized our offense today," said Asheville skipper . "That makes everyone's life easier."
The Moonshiners own a robust 76-42 mark.
