Moonshiners center fielder Rikkert Faneyte put his stamp on his team's 9-6 win over the Bluff City Beasties. Faneyte was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Asheville in the contest. Matt Beech got the win, improving to 13-6. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 5 hits and 6 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 3. Asheville has now won 3 straight, while the Beasties have lost 3 in a row.

Wilton Guerrero had a critical at-bat with one out in the top of the second for Asheville. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Asheville in front, 2-0.
