It was a fun time at Fire Dogs Ballpark, where the Hartford Whalers and Ocean City Blue Crabs tangled.

The Ocean City Blue Crabs downed the Hartford Whalers, 10-2, at Fire Dogs Ballpark. Cheron Farley led the way, going 2-for-3 for Ocean City. Chad Ogea, the winner, improved to 11-7. He held the Whalers to 1 earned run on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 1.

With Ocean City leading 3-0 in the bottom of the first, Farley hit a fastball from Mike Thurman for a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Blue Crabs ahead, 7-0.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Ocean City manager .

The Blue Crabs bumped their record to 65-56 with this latest triumph.
