Nomura Helps Blue Crabs Run Win Streak to 3
|
With third baseman Kenjiro Nomura leading the charge, the Ocean City Blue Crabs defeated the Southeast Slammers, 7-4, at Fire Dogs Ballpark. Nomura went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Reliever Julio Valera picked up the win. His record improves to 3-0. Dan Serafini took the loss. Brian Bevil was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 29 of 33 save opportunities.
The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Nomura delivered big-time for Ocean City, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Dan Serafini. The game-changing hit put the Blue Crabs on top, 5-4.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Nomura.
Ocean City has now won 3 in a row.
