Bell Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Toledo in Walk-Off Win
The Mud Hens had to overcome a fine performance from Hartford pitcher Jack Armstrong to grab a 3-2 win at Stags Ballpark. Armstrong allowed no earned runs over 8 innings. Toledo reliever Larry Thomas was the winner. His record is now 1-2. The losing pitcher was Billy Wagner. Even with the win, the Mud Hens have a dismal 34-87 record.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Toledo trailing 2-0, Mike A. Bell jumped on a 0-1 slider from Billy Wagner for a 3-run home run, sending the Mud Hens to a walk-off win.

"What an ending!" said a jubilant Bell.
