Fassero Fires Shutout in Suns Win
|
Today was Jeff Fassero's turn in the rotation for the Jacksonville Suns and he made the most of it, shutting out the Milwaukee Otters on 2 hits.
The 34-year-old left-hander led the Suns to an easy 12-0 victory, allowing 2 walks and tallying 4 strikeouts.
"I hope we miss him next time," Milwaukee manager said. "Fassero certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
Fassero has taken the mound for no relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 10-10 record with a 4.23 ERA. The Jacksonville reliever has limited opposing batters to a .257 batting average.
