The New Orleans Brass opened their 1995 season with a disappointing 8-6 loss to the Round Rock Express at Bay Hawks Ballpark. Center Fielder Rich Becker was a big part of the win for Round Rock. He was 4 for 6 with a double and 3 singles. The winner was Phil Leftwich, who threw 122 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 5 runs on 14 hits.
