Chukars Topple Missions with Late Rally
|
Dedicated fans at Alleycats Ballpark weathered the storm to watch their beloved Chukars beat the Missions.
San Antonio right fielder David Hulse had a good game, even if his team did not. The Missions dropped a 11-7 decision to Idaho Falls at Alleycats Ballpark. Hulse was 4-5 with 4 singles and a walk. Idaho Falls reliever Bill Sampen picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Steve Olin absorbed the loss.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when designated hitter Dwight Smith hit a single. The Chukars went on to win.
"It feels good to get this one," Smith told the Idaho Falls Times.
The win lifts Idaho Falls to a record of 2-1.
