Colorado Springs Sky Fox starter Clint Zavaras pitched a strong game against the Spokane River Rats at Motors Ballpark, leading the Sky Fox to a 2-1 win. Jamie Walker picked up the save for Colorado Springs, his 1st of the year. With the win, Colorado Springs improves its record to 2-1.

Steve Pegues had a big run-scoring single for the Sky Fox in the bottom of the first inning. With Colorado Springs leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Jeff C D'Amico and stroked the single to center. It was his 2nd hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sky Fox ahead, 2-0.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Zavaras told reporters after the game.
