The Tucson Tarantulas did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Colorado Springs Sky Fox at Motors Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Bob Wolcott, who captured player of the game honors. Wolcott picked up the win for Tucson, going 8 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. With the win, Tucson boosts its record to 3-2.
Bip Roberts aided the Tucson cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter was 2 for 5 with 2 singles.
