Tucson left-hander Mark Langston pitched his team to victory over the Tacoma Rainiers at Ballpark of Louisville. The final score was 4-3. The Tarantulas have hit the ground running, raising their record to 8-3. While it's still too soon to talk about Tucson hoisting their 1st World Series trophy, fans are getting excited about their strong start.
The Tarantulas got a big at-bat from second baseman Mark Bellhorn. For the game, Bellhorn was 2-5 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 14th hit of the season gave Tucson a 3-2 lead.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Langston.
