Tight Tilt Goes to Warriors, 4-3
|
The Walla Walla Warriors got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Ugueth Urbina, but it was good enough for the club to take a 4-3 decision over the Spokane River Rats. The Warriors raised their record to 8-3.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the fourth, with the game tied, Bobby Rose was at the plate when Walla Walla scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Warriors to go in front, 2-0.
"Enjoyed this one," Urbina told the Walla Walla News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
