Tarantulas Best Missions in Pitching Duel
Tucson starter James Baldwin put a stranglehold on the San Antonio offense. The right-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Tarantulas to a 2-1 win. Baldwin went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 1-0. Losses have been few and far between for the Missions, who are now 6-2.

Tony Clark broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the sixth with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Tarantulas in front, 2-1. For the game, Clark drove in one run.

"I had everything working," said Baldwin.
