Losing Streak Continues for Buzz with 10-8 Loss to Brass
It was a good time at Bay Hawks Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Salt Lake City Buzz and New Orleans Brass get after it.

The New Orleans Brass outlasted Terry Francona and the Salt Lake City Buzz, 10-8. Francona was impressive in the loss. The Salt Lake City center fielder was 4-5 with 3 doubles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. LaTroy Hawkins got the win, improving to 2-1. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 10 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 0. The save was Tim Davis's, his 2nd.

In the bottom of the first, New Orleans catcher Eric Helfand had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Salt Lake City hurler Steve Parris, Helfand reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. That made the score 2-0, New Orleans. For the day, Helfand did the little things right to help the team.

Helfand told a New Orleans Herald reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

New Orleans is off to a hot start at 9-4.
