Mabry Excels, But Storm Chasers Win
Another day, another victory for the red-hot Omaha Storm Chasers.

Portland right fielder John Mabry had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 10-5, to Omaha at Tuttle Fields. Mabry went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Omaha reliever Dave Shipanoff was the winner. His record is now 3-0. The losing pitcher was Chuck Ricci. Troy Percival finished the game for Omaha and earned his 3rd save.

A key moment came in the top of the ninth inning when Storm Chasers right fielder Phil B. Clark socked a 2-2 forkball to right for a grand slam home run, putting Omaha up, 8-5.

"I like the roll we're on right now," said Clark after the game.

The Storm Chasers keep rolling, raising their record to 11-1.
