The Tucson Tarantulas topped the Idaho Falls Chukars, 6-2, in Pacific action at Ballpark of Louisville. The player of the game was Tucson pitcher Rick Krivda. No one expected much of this team but the hot start by Tucson might have some re-evaluating their pre-season predictions. The win today pushes their record to 14-3.

The Tarantulas grabbed the lead in the bottom of the third. With two out, Andres Galarraga, who is tied for 7th in the PAC in triples with 1, hit a 2-run home run off Phil Leftwich, putting Tucson in front, 3-0. For Galarraga, it was his 8th home run of the season.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Tucson manager .
