The Tacoma Rainiers bested the Salt Lake City Buzz by a score of 9-6, with catcher Greg O'Halloran getting the main credit. On the day, O'Halloran went 3-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Rainiers. Tacoma reliever Tavo Alvarez picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-1. Donnie Elliott was collared with the loss. The loss drops Salt Lake City to 9-6.

Jose Guillen hit a run-scoring double off Donnie Elliott in the top of the tenth, which put the Rainiers in front, 7-6. In addition to the double, Guillen had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," O'Halloran said.
