Buzz Come Back Late to Clip Rainiers
|
The Tacoma Rainiers got a superb performance from center fielder Daryl Boston. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Salt Lake City. The Buzz won the game, 6-4. In spite of the loss, Boston was named the player of the game. He went 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 2 runs. Salt Lake City reliever Carlos Almanzar got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Carlos Reyes was tagged with the loss. Paul Spoljaric got the save, the 5th for him this season.
Sal Fasano aided the Salt Lake City cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second. For the game, the catcher was 1-3.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Fasano.
Salt Lake City, now 10-6, has played well in the early going.
