Omaha catcher Tom Lampkin played a vital role in his team's 12-8 triumph over Salt Lake City. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Omaha. Bill Wegman got the win, improving to 4-0. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 13 hits and 7 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 2. The Storm Chasers, now 17-3, have been red hot.

Omaha first baseman Phil B. Clark laid a blow when he belted a solo home run in the top of the third. It was his 7th home run of the season. With it, the Storm Chasers took a 2-0 lead.
