Brass Lose, 5-2, at Ballpark of Milton

The Walla Walla Warriors got a stellar performance from pitcher Gene Nelson, who handcuffed the New Orleans offense en route to a 5-2 win at Ballpark of Milton. Losses have been few and far between for the Brass so far this season. Their record drops to 15-7.
Walla Walla designated hitter Bobby Rose had a key at-bat for the Warriors in the bottom of the fifth inning. Facing right-hander Vaughn Eshelman, Rose reached on an error by the SS, driving in 2 runs. It put Walla Walla in front, 3-0. For the day, Rose drew 2 walks in 4 trips to the plate.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Walla Walla manager . "Our pregame was pretty good."
