Pirates Lose to Twins, 3-1
|

Minnesota right-hander Pedro Astacio made an effective start against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Three Rivers Stadium, leading his team to a 3-1 win. Rob Dibble locked down his 6th save.
Helping the Minnesota cause was Mark Grudzielanek. In the top of the fifth, the 24-year old shortstop had a run-scoring double to make the score 2-0, Twins.
Astacio attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
