Losing Streak Continues for Buzz with 6-1 Loss to Express
The Round Rock Express got a stellar performance from pitcher Phil Leftwich, who handcuffed the Salt Lake City offense en route to a 6-1 win at Alleycats Ballpark. Leftwich went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 4, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-1. The Buzz, at 0-21, have stumbled out of the gate.

Had Rich Becker not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Becker hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Express.

"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager . "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
