Missions Bang Out 8-2 Win Versus Spokane
|
San Antonio Missions starter Rene Arocha was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Spokane River Rats, 8-2. Arocha, now 3-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 9, walking 0, and allowing 2 earned runs. San Antonio is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 8th in 22 games.
Orlando Miller put San Antonio in front, 7-0, when he took Jaret Wright downtown. His 3-run home run came with no one out in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 5th home run of the season.
"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager .
