Victory Over Missions Takes Nashville to 13-8
|
Nashville starter Bob Tewksbury put a stranglehold on the San Antonio offense. The right-hander had complete command of his sinker in leading the Sounds to a 5-1 win. Nashville, now 13-8, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Nashville relied on the hitting of Roger Cedeno to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put the Sounds on top, 2-1. For the game, Cedeno had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We had a good game plan," Tewksbury said, "and we were able to execute it."
