Tarantulas Rally For Late Win Over Sounds

The Tarantulas had to overcome a good performance from Nashville pitcher Tony Saunders to claim a 5-4 win at Red Devils Stadium. Saunders went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Earning his 6th save of the year was Keith Foulke. Tucson, now 17-4, is setting the league on fire so far.
The game was at a stalemate until catcher Matt Walbeck came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Nashville pitcher Jose RF Santiago, he hit a first pitch slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Tucson on top, 5-4.
"We found a way to get it done," Walbeck said.
