Cardinals Roll to 8-2 Win Over Marlins
The St. Louis Cardinals got a stellar effort from pitcher Francisco Cordova, helping St. Louis score a 8-2 win over the visiting Florida Marlins. In 5 innings, Cordova surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The loss drops Florida to 13-9.

Damian Miller had a big run-scoring double for the Cardinals in the bottom of the fourth inning. With St. Louis leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Kevin Appier and stroked the double to center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cardinals ahead, 3-1.

"We did a lot of things right," said Miller.
