It could have been a different outcome for San Antonio , had it not been for Mike Matheny, the 26-year old catcher . Matheny contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put San Antonio up, 3-1.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" San Antonio manager said.
