Dominant Performance by Leiter in Omaha Win
|
Omaha starter Mark Leiter put a stranglehold on the Spokane offense. The right-hander had complete command of his sinker in leading the Storm Chasers to a 3-0 win. Even with the win, the Storm Chasers have a dismal 9-19 record.
Leiter, who dominated for Omaha, earned the victory to move to 1-4. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 8.2 innings, while striking out 9. Spokane batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"We'll build on this win," said Leiter.
