Missions Come Back Late, Nip Sky Fox
|
The San Antonio Missions finished things off in style today at Texans Stadium.
San Antonio right fielder David Hulse was a significant contributor in his team's 8-7 triumph over the Colorado Springs Sky Fox. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for San Antonio . Steve Olin picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-2. Curtis King was tagged with the loss.
Kelly Stinnett was the walk-off hero for San Antonio . With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Missions designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager . "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
San Antonio has now won 3 straight, while the Sky Fox have lost 6 in a row.
