Express Pull Even With 9-2 Victory
|
The Round Rock Express defeated the San Antonio Missions, 9-2, at Alleycats Ballpark. Round Rock first baseman Rico Brogna was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Picking up the save was Scott Brown, his 2nd. The Express bumped their record to 14-14 with this latest triumph.
Brogna had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-2 fastball from Kevin Gross, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Express a 2-1 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Brogna.
"We'll savor this win," Brogna told the Round Rock Observer, "then get ready for the next game."
