Rainiers Lose Again, 10-5, to Missions
|
The San Antonio Missions topped the Tacoma Rainiers, 10-5, with second baseman Luis Sojo playing a big role. Sojo was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Missions in the win. San Antonio reliever Brooks Kieschnick picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Eddie Guardado was collared with the loss. The losses continue to mount for Tacoma, which has now dropped 7 in a row.
With two out in the bottom of the sixth, Damian Jackson had a game-changing hit. The Missions shortstop slammed a run-scoring single off Carlos Reyes, making the score 7-5, San Antonio .
"Baseball is about momentum," said Jackson, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
