Rainiers Fall Short at San Antonio
|
It was a fun time at Texans Stadium, where the Tacoma Rainiers and San Antonio Missions tangled.
The San Antonio Missions stopped the Tacoma Rainiers, 8-7, behind an impressive performance from David Hulse. The 29-year old right fielder made life miserable for Tacoma pitching. He was 3-5 with a triple and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Tacoma, at 10-21, has lost 8 straight.
A key moment came when Hulse faced Tacoma hurler Tavo Alvarez in the bottom of the eighth. The Missions, who were trailing 6-5, had runners on 1st and 2nd. Hulse got a 1-0 fastball and hit a 2-run triple.
"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager . "But it's got to translate into wins."
