Omaha got a terrific game from third baseman Quilvio Veras. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to New Orleans, 8-4. Veras was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. New Orleans has an impressive 25-10 record.

Eric Helfand helped out the New Orleans cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a 2-run triple. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said New Orleans skipper .
