Victory Pushes Mets Record to 14-8
The New York Mets got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Tom Glavine, but it was good enough for the club to take a 6-1 decision over the Oakland Athletics. The Athletics fall to 7-15 and continue their wobbly start to the 1995 season.

Dave Magadan had a big hit for New York in the top of the third inning. With New York leading 1-0, Magadan hit a run-scoring triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Mets up, 2-0.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Glavine told the New York Today.
