Tarantulas Clip Sounds, 7-6
|
The Nashville Sounds and Tucson Tarantulas provided some drama at Ballpark of Louisville.
The Tucson Tarantulas did just enough to secure a 7-6 victory over the Nashville Sounds at Ballpark of Louisville. Nobody did more than third baseman Ray Giannelli, who captured player of the game honors. Jose Mesa was credited with the save for Tucson, his 7th of the season.
Giannelli provided the big break for the Tarantulas in the bottom of the sixth inning. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run, helping Tucson to get the win.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Tucson manager .
Tucson is now 18-17. Nashville is 18-17.
