The New Orleans Brass got a stellar performance from pitcher Brian Barnes, who handcuffed the Round Rock offense en route to a 7-2 win at Alleycats Ballpark. Barnes got the win, improving to 5-3. He allowed 8 hits and walked 1 over 8.2 innings. Barnes allowed 2 earned runs. New Orleans has now won 3 in a row.

It could have been a different outcome for New Orleans, had it not been for Chris Snopek, the 24-year old designated hitter . Snopek contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put New Orleans up, 2-0.

"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Barnes.
